Attended Board of Supervisors meeting which lasted one hour.
Overturned Mayor's veto on possible June election - (keeping the option open). The Board is working together along with other stakeholders to come up with a consensus.
Supervisor David Campos continued to show he reads and pays attention to all items on the agenda questioning an error made on the credit for Pilara Family Foundation lease and due diligence on lease for 3801 Third Street.
Campos Rule - Not wise for lease to expire because you then have less leverage in negotiating the lease and always look for other options so next time the lease is up you know your options.
I learn a lot from the Supervisor questions - he has put the Department Heads on notice to be there and be prepared.
I also appreciate it when Supervisors explain why they are voting the way they are on important items - especially with new supervisors.
Outside City Hall there is an environmental sculpture be installed by Patrick Dougherty comprised of 18,000 lbs of freshly cut willow saplings interwoven into the treetops of the double row of sycamore trees in Civic Center Plaza.
