I attended a party for my close friend, Lynne Williams, who is running for Governor in Maine in 2010 under the Green Party. Her "best buddies" attended a party at the Connecticut Yankee on Connecticut Street Tuesday night.
There is public financing of elections in Maine. Under the "perfect storm" Lynne said she could win. Lynne has been a local attorney in Maine for 10 years who has championed numerous environmental and human rights causes.
Lynne's son, Brendan Williams, is attending Academy of Art in San Francisco. Lynne was on her way to Southern California where Tom Hayden will be having a fundraiser for her later this week.
